Duskie Estes and John Stewart, of Zazu Restaurant and Black Pig Meat Co., opened Black Piglet a few weeks ago. BLTs, featuring Black Pig Bacon, are at the heart of the offerings at this cute little food truck, located at Davis Family Vineyards (52 Front St. in Healdsburg). It is open from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 24 through October 2 on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
In addition to BLTS, the menu includes pork belly poutine; maple-bacon doughnuts; salad from the nearby garden; grilled cheese sandwich with Fontina and rapini; backyard zucchini fries with buttermilk dipping sauce; bacon hot dog on a pretzel roll with kimchi and bacon, egg, and cheese on a hard roll, along with bacon-caramel popcorn, Jenny’s pies, and strawberry-rosé sorbet, using rosé from Davis Family Vineyards, of course.
Davis Family Wines are available by the glass and you can enjoy a game of bocce by the river if you like.
