If you are up for a little road trip–or road and ferry trip–consider heading to San Francisco for this Friday night’s LUCKYRICE Feast. The feast is a celebration of Asian cuisine from the city’s historic Chinatown and its contemporary companions, including new South Asian canteens and hipster eateries.
The feast takes place at Bently Reserve (301 Battery St.) from 8 to 10 p.m. for the general public ($88 per person). VIP tickets ($150 per person) get you in an hour early, at 7 p.m.
Highlights of the tasting menu include: Slow-roast4ed pork & shrimp rice noodle roll from Asian Box; Kalinga Unoy Heirloom Arozz Caldo from Attic; classic milk tea and Jasmine Fresca from Boba Guys; spiced chickpea cake and braised lamb from E & O; Southeast Asian hot vermicelli salad from Fang; minced pork and salted egg yolk dumpling from M. Y. China and Wasabi Pea Rice Krispie Treats from the Ramen Bar.
You can view a complete tasting menu and the cocktail menu here.
This year’s event is hosted by chef Kathy Fang of Fang Restaurant.
